Privacy Policy

Punky Funky Jewellery respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what data I collect, how I use it, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR).

Information I Collect

To fulfil your order, I may need the following details:

  • Your name and postal address

  • Email address and/or phone number

  • Payment information

  • Order details (e.g. names, dates or wording for personalised items)

You may also choose to provide additional information if you contact me directly.

How I Use Your Information

I rely on a number of legal bases to collect and use your information, including:

  • To provide my services – for example, using your details to process and deliver your order, respond to queries, or resolve disputes.

  • Legal obligations – such as keeping records for tax purposes.

  • Legitimate interests – to improve my services and manage my small business, as long as these interests are not overridden by your rights.

Sharing Information

I only share your personal information in very limited circumstances:

  • Service providers – such as Royal Mail (to deliver your order) and PayPal (to process payments). They only receive the information necessary to perform their services.

  • Legal reasons – if required by law, court order, or to respond to a government request.

  • Business transfers – if I sell or merge my business, your information may form part of that transaction, but only where the law allows.

I never sell or share your information for marketing purposes.

Data Retention

I keep your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services, and as required by law (for example, tax records must be kept for 6 years). After this, your data will be securely deleted.

Data Storage & Security

This website is hosted by Create.net, and I use PayPal for payments. Both services may store or process data outside the UK/EU. I take steps to ensure your data is secure, including password-protected accounts and limited access.

Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal data I hold about you

  • Request corrections to your information

  • Ask me to delete your information (except where I am legally required to keep it)

  • Restrict or object to how I process your information

  • Withdraw consent for marketing (if you have previously given it)

  • Lodge a complaint with the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) if you have concerns

If you’d like to exercise any of these rights, please contact me using the details below.

Product Information

  • Colours shown are close representations but may vary due to monitor settings.

  • Sizes are approximate.

  • Personalised items will be stamped exactly as entered at checkout. Please check spelling carefully, as I cannot be held responsible for errors once work has begun.

Delivery Policy

All UK orders are sent with Royal Mail Tracked 24 or Tracked 48, depending on the option chosen at checkout. Both services provide end-to-end tracking and delivery confirmation.

You’ll receive a tracking number once your order has been dispatched so you can follow its progress online.

If your order doesn’t arrive within the timeframe suggested by Royal Mail, please get in touch and I’ll look into it for you. In the rare event that Royal Mail confirms a parcel as lost, I will arrange either a replacement or a refund.

If a parcel is returned to me because it couldn’t be delivered (for example, if no one was home and it wasn’t collected from the sorting office), I’m happy to resend it. In this case, the buyer would just need to cover the cost of re-posting.

Returns & Right To Cancel

Change of Mind

  • You have the right to cancel your order for non-personalised items under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

  • This right begins the day you place your order and ends 14 days after receiving your goods.

  • You then have 14 days to return the item. You are responsible for return postage costs. Refunds are issued upon receipt of items in unused condition.

Exemptions

  • Personalised or custom-made items are non-refundable unless faulty.

  • Earrings cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, unless faulty or damaged.

Faulty or Damaged Items

  • If your item arrives faulty or damaged, please notify me within 14 days. I may request photos to help resolve the issue.

  • Where a return is required, I will provide a prepaid return label or cover the return postage.

  • You may request a refund (including original postage costs) or, where possible, an exchange. Refunds are processed once the faulty item is received.
